Shang Yan Rong

Academic pressure is a common struggle for students at various stages of their educational journey, especially during the transition from middle school to high school. The intense pressure to succeed in school often leaves students feeling overwhelmed. This kind of environment not only affects learning efficiency but also places a heavy psychological burden on students, which can eventually lead to emotional breakdowns. Academic pressure has thus become a persistent and serious social issue.

Fang Pin Xin

This piece aims to highlight the issue of human-driven deforestation and environmental destruction. By using the concept of English verb tenses, it illustrates the evolution of trees from the past, through the present, and into the future. The trees in the image are arranged in a triangular formation, symbolizing stability, but as deforestation continues, the future is represented only by a cross, symbolizing rest in peace. It conveys the message that if humans persist in their destructive ways, we will ultimately bid farewell to the forests.

Chen Qian Yun

Today's Taiwanese news media is filled with meaningless reports, leaning toward entertainment rather than substance, lacking depth and professionalism. This poster uses fragmented, unreadable text to form the word "NEWS", symbolizing the valueless content often found in modern media—empty words on paper with no real meaning.

This piece is inspired by the "Eight Principles of Yong" from traditional calligraphy, reinterpreted as "Eight Principles of Sustainability" in the context of ecological sustainability: Energy Saving, Carbon Reduction, Waste Sorting, Using Personal Utensils, Green Buildings, Eating More Vegetables and Fruits, Developing Renewable Energy, and Planting Greenery. These eight principles represent the essential guidelines for achieving sustainable development in modern society.

You Bo Wei

This work explores the dark side of contemporary work environments, where the pursuit of profit often leads to bullying and exploitation. Victims are frequently coerced into silence due to the lure of immediate benefits. The piece uses constraining lines to symbolize suppressed emotions, with a color palette of dark purple and red to evoke feelings of pain and injustice. Alcohol droplets on the hair represent inner turmoil, and the inclusion of eyes in the artwork signifies the boundless greed for material wealth.

Lin Qin Tong

Human greed has led to overfishing, resulting in dwindling fish resources. Taiwan may face a future where fish are no longer available. The artwork depicts countless hands surging in and stacking up the imagery of Taiwan, with these relentless fishing hands and tightly packed nets symbolizing humanity’s insatiable greed. If this continues, the once-beautiful island could become a barren "Island of Empty Fish".

Dai Yu Tong

Inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away", the piece features the stamp text "glutton", metaphorically representing the insatiable greed of individuals. The stamp reveals undigested food, with the text branded onto the monster's body. Cells float out from a square on the left, and the background is adorned with genetic motifs, symbolizing inner greed and endless desire. The monster’s eyes, resembling surveillance cameras, constantly search for consumable food, while various food scraps at the bottom contribute to the overall feeling of excess.

Lin Jing Xuan

The 52-hertz whale is known as the "loneliest whale in the world" due to its unique vocal frequency, which differs from that of other whales. Whale fall, on the other hand, refers to the process where a whale’s body, after death, sinks to the ocean floor, nourishing marine life. This work combines the concept of the 52-hertz whale and whale fall to symbolize those who, though unrecognized, selflessly contribute to society, even in their final moments.

Ji Yu Man

The artwork depicts a seemingly beautiful yet polluted ocean, where plastic bags take on the forms of sea creatures, symbolizing the ocean's invasion by human waste. Through irony, it prompts viewers to reflect on the problem of ocean pollution. If left unchecked, marine life may gradually disappear, leaving only human trash adrift in the sea.

Lin Yu Ci

In the age of the internet, people have easy access to a wealth of information, but some misuse this information to harm others. Through anonymity, individuals defame others online, even using videos to intensify the damage. Such behaviors have become increasingly frequent in modern society, causing indelible psychological trauma to victims.
